| You know what the opening of a show means...
Having to face the closing of it.
It all seems like it flew by so fast.
I still remember when we were in the oven some people called Freedom High School and I was trying to get that "cross, back, step, step" we do in Shipoopi. I also remember all of the LVPA days... the good and the not-so-good. We then moved to Freedom at night with the entire cast. It started to look like a show instead of just the MMTE. All of this happened while we were still rehearsing music with the Shu at Liberty at night. All of a sudden, the set was up and needed painting. So we we had awesomely cool set painting days, where we listened to rockin' music, hung out together, and oh. There was paint. And so the run-throughs came, and it was finally a show. We opened, and we never thought this day would come. At least I didn't think it would have come this soon. Applebee's, Friendly's, Checkers (for those old enough to drink and too cool to come to Applebee's), Chuck E. Cheese, and Dorney Park. Just some of the awesome places we went to. No to mention the sleepovers at the houses.
In conclusion, my friends... This summer was the greatest I could have ever possibly imagined. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
I'm being a bad person and listening to the Revival cast... and thinking how they could never have a Jen, Vicki, Beth, Wendy, Chrissy, or Becki as the Pick-a-Little Ladies, they will never have Amanda Salvatore grace the stage as the beautiful Marian Paroo, they will never ever have our adorable Patrick as Winthrop, or his own mother as the wonderful Mrs. Paroo. Ralph Schwam could not be a better mayor, nor could his family compliment his characteristics any more. And they will never have the Music Man 2005 Teen Ensemble, who knows how to rock the stage off every night with Shipoopi.
Thank you for making my life complete. |
